Does the cham believe you have a feeder or WHAT?! Thats CRAZY weird behavior... Wish my cham liked my hand that much lol

Noo ...well I dont know really...... I mean.... Normally he sees it.... lol I dont know how to get him to stop this. Its cute and all but I dont want to hurt him by him actually attaching to my hand.....

Hmmm that would be a problem... You could try well... UNacclimating him to your hand... instead of picking him up in front, go from behind still putting your hand under his chin... Catching him off guard might prevent him from getting his tongue stuck... Just my thought though

I was tryign to avoid grabbing them from behind because many people say that is where their natural enemies would go in for the kill.... but the crazy thing is I dont even have to be trying to pick him up.... As soon as I go up to the cage he comes running..... I might try stopping hand feeding him for a little while and maybe hell stop thinking Im food.... lol

I would say thats a start lol... Just get him to the point where there would be NO reason to tongue your hand lol

He does this because he grew up being hand fed and for the most part, only hand fed. This is my speculation because Sebastian used to do that, but now that I free roam crickets in his cage, he has stopped.

^^Agree. Mine do the same as I open their cages, they focus on my hand and zap anything I am holding. I believe they make the conection hand=food...or something...

Ya I do hand feed them alot.... Mrs.Chameleon doesnt like me much though lol..... The lady that had them before me never hand fed them. I guess I started to spoil them. I will lay off the hand feeding for the time being and maybe Mr.Chameleon will go back to normal.

If you moved your hand, you didn't hold it still...just let it happen. I suspect he's checking to see if your hand is stable enough to walk on, but you jerk it away so the answer is no.

I do jerk it away when he shoots me, It kindve freaks me out lol Ive tried holding it still but then he eyeballs me and acts like hes going to eat me.... I could try holding it after he shoots me with my hand in a ball because I dont think it would hurt that bad if he tried to bite my actual fist.....

DO NOT jerk your hand away when he shoots you! That can seriously damage his tongue. Just slowly bring your hand to his mouth and let him bite you if he has to in order to let go.

To me in the video he is acting like he is hungry and thinks maybe you got food in your hand. Does he have access to feeders all the time?

I have him on a feeding schedule. I was feeding them 5-8 large crickets a day ea and they are abotu ay ear old. I was told to do every other day so I started doing that... it could be because hes not used to the on and off feeding.
