soon to be getting a veiled chameleon

i was just convinced today that i would very much enjoy having a veiled chameleon and taking the proper care for it. so i have been told including the chameleon my total will come up to about 200$ and i am very much okay with that, so the guy told me everything i need but of course my mind cant listen to everything while i am excited over the fact of how beautiful they are. so anyway i heard alone the uv bulb can go up to the 70$'s so not to be annoying or anything but maybe if anyone knows of the complete shopping list i will need for these guys like all the requirements. thank you for taking your time:)
 
Do not pay $70 for a bulb!
Full screen cage (depending on age of chameleon) 18x18x36"
Hood and linear reptisun 5.0 UVB bulb
Basking clamp lamp and bulb (residential bulb works fine)
Misting system or hand mister
Thermometer (Probe type with two location, or two thermometers for regular and basking area)
Hydrometer
Live plants (ficus and pothos are good choices)
Calcium supplements both with D and without
NO SUBSTRATE
Feeders
Don't forget the location of a good herp vet

This may run you more than $200 with the chameleon. Do some research before jumping in and do not take petstore advise as rock solid, it seldom is. Haunt the forum for a while and ask more question. Chameleons are not an easy or inexpensive pet. Search our sponsors, such as LLLReptile, for better deals on supplies than you will find at chain pet stores.
