This is just an awesome, inspiring thread! I lost a baby Panther a few weeks ago to an unknown illness and I was so worried your guy was not going to make it. I read all through this post on the edge of my seat! The first pic of him broke my heart. I saw the pics of him when you first brought him home the other day and it made me so sad. I am so happy that he is turning around, this is awesome!! You guys are awesome for saving him. Please keep the updates coming on Bemis. He looks like he's well on the road to recovery. What a fighter!

I bet you were so happy when she pulled through! We have been giving him water, but anything else you recommend to boost hydration and vitamin levels or something?

Wow what progress! I'm so glad, hopefully he only continues to get better.
I have seen people recommend pedialite mixed into the water, to add a little something to it. But don't quote me on it. Hopefully a quick search will provide more info on it. Also, mushing up some insects into a soupy mix and giving him a little bit will help, I think. Healing always goes by faster if you've got something in your stomach, giving you energy. If he won't go for whole, live food then maybe making some big mush to syringe/dropper feed him will be a good start.

WOW what a Great turn around. I would try mixing the perlite with water and try using that. you could also inject his feeders with water. Horn worms also contain more water then other feeders

If he is eating and drinking on his own you don't really need Pedialyte. That is just in an emergency to keep a cham going who is no longer eating or drinking at all. Too much can be a problem as it is not formulated for herps. Just gutload his feeders well and let him drink as often as possible. A little bit of "bug juice" squeeze won't hurt if you can get him to lick it off a dropper. Try misting him to get him drinking, then drip it on his snout so he can lick it off his lips.

He has eaten a little bit but we are using a drop to get him to drink as he won't do it on his own but will willingly allow us to use the dropper

Dropper drinking is fantastic! Keep that going as it will help you monitor his drinking in future. You can sneak all sorts of stuff into the water too. He might like a little bit of sweet fruit juice.

You said this is a group of five. Did the vet say what was wrong? Just thinking maybe you should look over the other four.
Normally , as everybody knows , I almost always respond with just smiley , only occasionally using words . But after reading this entire thread , I felt the need to do something else . So , with great respect for all you have done for that little guy , I made this for you . To the forum management , if I'm out of my bounds for something like this, I apologize .

This is well deserved for her dedication of doing everything to rescue this guy and nurse him back to health.
WOW, is all I can say!! I am so happy that this guy is doing as well as he is, I felt he was done for sure after seeing the first photos! What an AMAZING job you both have done nursing him. I commend you for being willing to take on such a job/responsibility as this is. I know how much I love my animals and how fast I get attached to them, I can see the same is true for you guys I am currently nursing a male Jacksons back to health following a neglectful owner dropping him off in a paper bag at the local shelter. My guy almost died due to this dehydration and starving/stress. I thank my lucky stars that he is making a remarkable recovery and other than being thin he is acting like a healthy, happy Cham I have to add that it really upsets me, honestly pisses me off, to see these amazing animals end up in such poor shape due to neglect (even though not always intentional). If people would be responsible and research the proper care, along with utilizing sites such as this, then many of these animals would not need to suffer like this 
Again, amazing job and keep up the good work, these guys need you! Why is there not more guidelines/restrictions on pet shops being allowed to have/sell animals such as these without showing they know what they are doing? Same can be asked regarding people being allowed to buy them without showing capability?

We got 3 chams an he is the worst the other 2 are decent. This guy has a pretty bad ri and has a vit a deficiency. He was also not receiving proper supplements with ungutloaded insects from the look of it. He just needs to get hydrated and over the ri so he can pack meat on his bones.
Here are the other two that are doing good with no problems.

with the jax we have a few of those!
Unfortunately I don't believe there is much we can do about pet stores
