Last August I bought what I was told was a female Jackson's chameleon. She has no horn. She has been ok but never what I thought was healthy. I have had a Cham before. Within the last few weeks she hasn't been eating as she should and has become lethargic. She is properly cared for as far as humidity, misting, diet. She isn't handled or stressed. I am a stay at home mom so she is misted and taken care of. I am in the southern louisiana area with no vet that says they can see a Cham. To me she looks to have the beginnings of mouth rot and possibly an upper respect infection. Also her eye on the side with the rot is swollen. Right now she is in the shower so that I know she is staying hydrated. She will drank and are one cricket yesterday but nothing today. She keeps her eyes closed which is not her norm. All this seemed to come on quick. The last 3 days she has seemed to go down hill. She still has her strength but the other morning she was on the floor of her cage which isn't like her either. She also has a place to lay eggs if needed. I have made sure she has best captive environment possible so I am really heart broken at this turn of events. I have read that baytril is good but can do more harm than good. I don't know what else to do, I do not want to loose her. Anything at all would be great, thank you in advance for your time.
