Some new cages , for little ones

I setup a new rack over the last couple of days. I am going to keep some young chams in it when it is finished. I am going to add some more sticks and vine, etc. Right now it holds 6 15x16x20 cages but will hold 9 when I add them to the top. It stands almost 8 feet tall with the other cages on it.

I made the misting nozzles myself as herpmist is hard to get a hold of. It was really easy. They are not that bendable but work great when positioned right.

maybe make the vines touch the bottom to help the cham get back up if it gets down there while chasing crickeys
 
that is awesome, love the misting system, i wish i knew how to make an automatic misting system...
 
Awesome Ryan. I have 4 of the 6 cage setups almost exactly like that except one one is not chrome but a wooden one I built so i can open the doors of the left side cages completely. I ended up taking the left cages apart and inverting them so the door can open the other direction. Its a great setup. The only thing I do differently is use pothos plants and I use the top shelf to store all the cricket bins. When will you be expecting babys?
 
Very nice Ryan, looks like you and me are the same when it comes to perfectionism. I am a OCD when it comes to things being uniform.:eek:;)

They can also climb the screen.;)

Whats with the DIY misters?

This is a DIY mister I made when I ran out of elbows....

Edit: Do the end cages tilt inward to drain into the tubs?

Nic , Thats a great idea , I am going to invert the cage so the door will open. I could use a couple more of these racks. I have some young Ambilobe females and a male that will start out in here and a few carpets until I can find a home for them.

I am expecting BB Ambilobes as "early as" End of April or early May, then some Sambavas end of May or early June.

They will tilt inward a little. I am going to raise them up on the sides just a bit. Chances are I am going to add some rain gutter to the back and tilt all the cages back. I had the tubs handy.

nice DIY nozzle. Its the new thing , why buy when you can build your own. :D

I love those shelving units too they work so well for anything! I own 6 and counting....lol
 
Do they sell those shelving units fairly cheap anywhere? I used to have one years ago, but gave it away when I moved. Now I can't find one as sturdy as those.

Hey Ryan, why don't you come up to WA for a weekend and make me the same setup please, lol. :p

I bought that rack at home depot for $89, it is very sturdy.

If I build it for you , what fun will that be. :p

Can I ask what is at the bottom of your cages? I will assume PVC, but it's always better to ask.
