some moring shots of Elliot

As long as I can run down the hallway yelling, crying and throwing myself on the ground like a fool I'm in! ;):D

I watch way to much daytime TV lol

So the sensible question here is why don't you just ask Sandy and Elliot (Chameleons Northwest) instead of just speculating? They bred him and his siblings and would know the facts.

That will put your mind at ease.....mind you Elliot is a stunning cham and is only going to get better over the next 12 months :)

i think im gonna give them a call tomorrow....i guess time tell....i love him no matter what....i cant wait to see what he looks like when he is older....:)

Chameleons North West is very very wonderful.

Sandy and I probably spoke between.... 30 emails or so before I settled down and purchased my second sambava from them today. Im sure they will get everything settled quickly, but in the end panther is right... a cham is a cham, and they are all wonderful.

Megan your little guy is definitely an ambilobe in my opinion. He very much so resembles yellow wolk and if you asked for an ambilobe from yellow wolf then that is what you got from chameleons northwest. Every cham I have gotten from them or that was produced by them is in amazing health and is what I asked for. Mwebb there are variations in patter for every locale. I have seen ambilobes with u bars, v bars, y bars, and plenty of other patterns. usually sambavas have the U bar but not always. He is a very good looking little ambilobe and is showing alot of red and yellow for his age. good luck.

Very true some people seem to fix themselves on the typical look of certain locales. One thing to remember is that they all have a range of characteristics, ambilobe being one of the most varied can resemble many locales, especially when displaying immature coloration.

thanks everyone for the comments on Elliot....im taking all of this as Elliot is a very unique cham.....i guess only time will tell what he really is...either way i love him and he is beautiful....now i just cant wait till he is bigger to see all his big boy colors.....its nice to say that they only get better with age..lol....he seems to have a purplish color in him as well which i love.....chameleons northwest def gave me a perfect cham.....and for that i am very grateful...thanks again :D

Like I said if you asked for an ambilobe then thats what you got from the gesangs. They are amazing breeders and always very helpful. Personally I think it looks very much like a typical immature ambilobe. I have an adult male that was sired by honcho at the cham co who had red bars for the first 12 months of his life and now has pure blue bars with red outline just like his dad. Also I have a 6 1/2-7 month old male sired by a deep red background male with deep navy bars who has red bars at the moment but blue is coming in more and more everyday. They change a lot from month to month until they are around 15 month sold. Some even change subtly after that. Good luck with him, he is already starting to get some nice yellow on his stomach just like his sire.

this is him sleeping ( i tried not to wake him up)...this is when he looks like yellow wolf....:D

Unfortunately, he sure looks like a Sambava to me too. He is turning red and green. And his night time colors are very Sambava-like too. In fact, he's got great color for his age.

Before Megan purchased him we sent her several photos to choose from. I checked those photos just now and we definitely sent her the guy she chose. But at the time he was yellow and red, with dark stripes that looked like they were turning blue (like Jessica's Songbird). His "V" stripe was not complete, which is sometimes seen in Ambilobes, and appeared like a U. We purchased all the Yellow Wolf offspring from Chameleon Caretakers, and, although Jessica and I were being very careful and precise, I think this guy wound up in the wrong baby bin.

Now, a month later, he is definitely taking on unmistakable Sambava colors, and his "U" bar is very pronounced. He is, with little doubt, a Patron offspring.

I am so glad I read this thread. We PMd Megan and she responded and we're going to do what we can to rectify this for her.

Thank you those of you who brought this to our attention.

Sandy, ChameleonsNorthwest
