Some interesting pictures from today.

Not cham related, So I wasn't sure where to post this but it is general photography.

Note: I was photographing the wild L.williamsi found all around my house/neighborhood and just happened to catch a few shots of the hummingbird. Pretty lucky I'd say

I'm assuming that the Lygodactylus feed off of the same nectar the hummingbirds do because I normally find them near flowering plants.

Danny I just love hummingbirds. Dave weldon used to send me pictures just cause I love them. I have a folder for them on my desktop. Can I copy yours into it? I can see you and the new lens are becoming fast friends. Very nice work.

I love the little teal lizard. very cute.
and the hummingbird is so pretty.

Danny, have not seen one of those types of lizard ever in my area. We have the Cuban Knight Anoles but I wonder what kind that is? Do you know? Had a hummingbird in my patio a few weeks back! Was trying to get at a Christmas cactus. I had the door open doing some cleaning and the next thing I knew he was hovering in my screen room! I couldn't believe it! I got him to perch on the end of a flyswatter and I got him out the door. It was almost as if he was tame. It was the weirdest thing!

Carol, they are L.williamsi (Electric blue day gecko) and I used to think they were just a pair that had escaped that I had a while back, but I have been seeing more and more lately. This particular one was photographed on my neighbors house. I have seen some males that are much more blue than that. I only see them every once in a while though and it's normally way up in the palms or on flowering plants. In Tanzania where they are native they are normally found in palms. I'm assuming they either eat the nectar from the flowers or the flies that they attract.

That's very neat about the hummingbird! This one stayed for a few seconds and then zoomed off just above my head, as I was taking pictures of the gecko I hear that "hmmmmm" they make and was lucky enough to get those 3 shots.
