Soaking up the sun. : )

We've finally had some great weather here in KY. So I've been taking Loki outside every day from 3-6 PM. He loves it, and I honestly think I love it more. I don't get much sun myself. It's nice to sit outside in a tank top with my boy, mist his cage, read a magazine, and eat lunch. I'm so glad I ordered his new cage. I have everything nice and secured, so all I have to do is pick it up and set it outside. I have a mister, but decided to not hook it up and just mist him myself. It's less of a hassle than putting it together and taking it apart every day.

Loki brightens straight up when he gets outside. Right now Kentucky's humidity isn't too great. It's been unbearable the past few summers, so I'm not sure why we don't have any right now. And by unbearable, I mean you can't tell if you're sweating or if it's the humidity the second you walk out the door. Ladies.. don't even bother doing your hair. Waste of time. Yeah, it blows. But I guess once summer really hits the humidity will too. I have to mist his cage seriously like every 5 minutes. I can't get it past 60% in the house either. But we're working on that and it's not too big of a deal right now. Anyways.. I'll quit babbling and just post the dang pics already. So here they are.

I LOVE those last four pics! It's hard to tell what the pictures look like when you're taking them with the sun glaring. I didn't know if I was even getting him in the shot. So it was an awesome surprise when I went in the shade and saw what I'd actually taken.

I had to be stealth about it and wait until he was going for a cricket so he wouldn't get ticked off. As you see in the last pic, he found me out after he ate the cricket. Haha. I left him alone after that. These were all taken with an iPhone by the way. They take 10x better photos outside. But I just wanted to share. Have a good day everyone. :)

He is so vibrant in that last pic! I had disco out today as well. Your right, this KY weather has not kicked in yet. Great pics..how old is he?

Thank you. :D

He is about 4 months old. His birthday is Jan. 3rd.. same as mine. I can't wait until Loki's next shed. His colors keep getting more vibrant and I've seen a little green here and there. I saw yellow on his cheeks too. I'm ready for those colors to start pouring out. Do you have any pics of Disco? I don't feel like I've seen any of him on the forum.

I should of got some pics of him today..he was flaring out orange like I have never seen. I do have pics of him on here...Nothing to recent though. I'll have to get the camera out here soon. I do have a lot of footage on my youtube channel of him though.

Who is loki out of?

What's your YouTube channel? Do you go to any of the Kentucky Reptile Expo's? I know there's a guy up in Cinci that breeds Chams.
I've heard a few people talk about him at the show. They never mentioned his name or anything. I'm not sure I'd this is correct, but isn't tkilgour located in Cincinatti or somewhere near by? I wonder if he's the famous Cham guy everyone speaks of?

My Cham was sired by Candy Cane Jr. from Chameleon Paradise. He's really been showing those blues lately. Hopefully He doesn't go completely red as he grows. I'm a blue bar girl. Haha. Where's your guy from?

actually mine is from tom kilgore...Disco is a sambava out of cowboy jr. Im willing to bet that he is the one they speak of, i dont think there are any other big breeders around here but him. He has some nice chams! check out his site. my youtube channel is greenflinger. there is a link on my profile under contact info.

i would love to go to some shows...been so busy with school and work.

blue bar was a good choice

Thank you bird and fire! :)
I waited a longgg time to get this boy, so it really makes my day when someone compliments him. Haha!

I can't believe your Cham is actually from Kilgour! I'll have to consider buying my next baby from him. Haha. I was actually considering ordering some Dinofuel Raptor from him. Even though he's three hours away, it's nice to know theirs a Cham breeder near by. I'll have to check out your channel tonight.

Cowboy Jr. Is gorgeous by the way! I'm totally jealous. Any particular reason why you got a Sambava? I was having a hard time choosing between Ambilobe and Sambava. My best friend loves BB's too and convinced me to go with Ambilobe first. Man do I love those neon colors though. Sambava's look like they could glow in the dark! I have way too many "locales next" on my list. Haha. It's hard to pick.

I chose a Sambava because of the yellows, orange, and greens. They look like a crayola factory threw up on them. Plus they are so beautiful, but you really dont see alot of people working with them.

Actually Ambilobe or a Nosy be is next on my list :D

I totally agree Jon!

I chose Loki because I hadn't heard of any Chams with that name. Now almost every time I make a post, someone says that's there Chameleons name too. Haha! I love unique names. So far all of my Chameleon's names end in "I". Bodhi and Loki. It might be hard to come up with another one.

Natural sunlight is the way to go. If you can get your Cham outside and you're not doing it, well you are just crazy.
