Today ran into petsmart and saw a Jackson's just about dead! I notified the manager and claimed up and down he just came in like that. Well that's nice I said what are you going to do for him he needs a vet ASAP! So they took him out and said "yeah he's just cold." "If he was dead he'd be black, that's what they do when they die." I wanted to deck her in front of all those people!! My dupa I thought, and I told the manager she needs to do her part and lobby for no more chams since they can't properly house them let alone notice when they are on the verge of death!! So as the associate removed him and gave me an attitude, I also pointed out that their veiled shouldn't have standing water. She said we mist them hourly. I said so why is it so dry in there and what's the water dish for? I informed her he will have a bacterial infection in no time and that they lost a long time customerView attachment 1

Speak with yor wallet. Don't shop there. You just support them and stress yourself out. Not worth the punishment . Get a petition going against those stores. This problem has been going on for a long time and probably won't go away soon. As long as they have value and people buy them, they will sell them. I understand you feeling though.

Petsmart employees are not bright at all, I once went there to buy fish for my aquarium and got albino tiger barbs and regular tiger barbs, the employee tried to tell me that it wasn't a good idea to mix them in the tank together because albino tiger barbs are more aggressive, knowing it's not true I laughed and said oh? is that so? and she replied yes, so my response was then why do you have them in the tank together? she looked at me then at the tank with a lost look in her face and said oh, I don't know.

Petsmart employees are not bright at all

Keep in mind that the vast majority of employees hired by these big box petstores are teens or college students looking for part-time work who think handling animals all day will be fun. The onus falls on the organizations to train them and we all know that doesn't happen. The training they do receive is; this is how you stock a shelf, this is where the cleaning supplies are, this is where the food is kept, this is the price gun, here is the till, etc. They are often thrown into a department to attend to an array of animals they know nothing about and are then expected by their employer to present themselves as knowledgable to the general public who come in asking questions. Since these individuals want to keep their jobs and in an attempt NOT to look like fools, they reach and make up whatever seems logical to them or repeat what they heard a co-worker say. Obviously, to someone knowledgeable it's apparent they do not have a clue but other customers actually think what they say holds weight. And a vast majority of the general public doesn't question enough so they shop there and keep those places in business. It's a shame but it happens.

I try not to support those stores either but I don't think it's fair to say the employees themselves aren't bright, they are just trying to do their job.
