ok so as my last thread was asking male or female now i know she is a girl... i got no clue what to do here... she does constantly have spots on her what does this mean?
The spots MAY just be her adult colouring, she may be receptive or gravid. Lily always has blue spots and gold/brown splodges. It may help if you post a pic for us to see. Do you see any 'egg shaped lumps' above her hind legs? It wouldn't hurt to give her a laying bin anyway. When Lily is gravid the eggs are visible above her hind legs when she's about a week away from laying.
thanks baby sitter it doesnt really tell me much more then i know... just about clutch and laying.... i dont get it tho..oh i got it thats how not to get eggs... but i still want colors and no shes got no lumps no nothing i think shes just fat she should be only about 7 months old... but thats what the store who told me she was a dude said.... i hate that place now.. all reptiles if you live in toronto dont go there... lol ok well how big does this "laying bin" have to be and deep and all that... i may just get her switched for a male... if they will let me i gotta talk to the guy still but she just crawled outta her cage and then sat with me for a bit so i dont want to give her up.... im lost heres a pic. https://www.chameleonforums.com/male-female-23722/ its in my previous thread... and she hit me in the face with her tounge ...nice...
She sounds such a character! The laying bin should be about 12 inches deep. I used a mix of play sand and compost. It needs to be damp enough to hold it's shape, so that when they tunnel it won't collapse on them. Lily always digs into a corner rather than create a tunnel. I always have two laying bins in for Lily so she can choose the right place. My girl is so sweet and friendly, plus I love the more rounded body shape of the females!
