Slightly orange unrinate and wrinkled back skin. Is this a bad sign?

My cham about every other droppin will have a tint of orange to his urinate then a white white one. I have read how this is a sign of dehydration. But His fecal matter is normal, and eyes are not sunken. He has great color and is friendly. But His back skin when he is relaxed is a bit wrinkly looking. What does this mean? Does is sound like my cham is getting sick? or is it ok to have orange tint urine and when he is relaxed look a lil wrinkled?

it depends, if the majority of the urinate is orange that is no good, but if just the end is slightly orange that is normal. as far as the skin having wrinkles ive heard this can be associated with dehydration. i dont think this is a fact though, i have a panther that has a few wrinkles in his skin most of the time, but his urinate is pure white. if he looks hydrated in every other way besides the wrinkles i wouldnt worry about it to much.

I do think the wrinkles are indicative of dehydration. The worst you can do by giving him lots more misting is get him wet. If you can get him to drink more it at least takes away one possible problem, so what have you got to lose??

Yeah i agree I've seen wrinkles in well hydrated animals.

That's is what just happened to mine, she was very wrinkly I have been misting the heck out of her... Still wrinkly and just started a shed

I have noticed that when I see the wrinkled skin on my Chams, they start shedding the next day. :)

Rather than guess about the "wrinkling", a better sign of dehydration is "skin tenting". Take a fold of skin gently between your fingers, pull it and release. If the skin stays raised in a fold, he's dehydrated. If it snaps flat right away he's fine.

very good piece of information to have :)

why even do all that. just assure more moisture if your even guessing. I know it aint gonna hurt them. My chams will bite my fingers if I ever wanted to grab a flap of skin, especially my panther.

I understand if its necessary by all means I would handle and do what I have to. I dont think I have ever once had to touch my chameleon in six months though.

I found my Cham all full of wrinkles in the morning, thought he was dehydrated but temp and humidity were ok. I misted him again just to make sure. A couple hours later I found him shedding his skin lol
