Sleepy in the morning. Bad?

This morning I woke up at 7am to check on my chams. My little girl was already up and moving around but my 6mo old male was still in his sleeping spot. I inspected him and saw he was awake, with his little eyes looking around. I went about my business and came back about an hour later and he was still in the same spot this time with his eyes closed. I walked over by him and he quickly opened them. I opened his cage to clean up and he slowly got up and moved to his basking spot. Is this ok? I have read time and time again that sleeping during the day is a really bad sign. Was he just a little sleepy in the morning or could this be the beginning of something worse. Let me know if any of you have had this experience. I have filled out the question sheet before and have been told my husbandry was "spot on" but would gladly do it again, thanks

Hes fine. Mine does "soft starts" all the time. Just keep an eye open for naps during the day. Once he is up and warm (vs you just bugging him till he started looking around) he should not be closing his eyes again until the evening.

I like it when i have to disturb them after they goto bed, then you just closed eyes moving around going "do i really have to open them?"

Thanks so much, thats so refreshing. I am actually about to leave work to go home and check on him. If he only knew the things I do for them lol

I agree, just keep an eye out for naptime. My baby tucks himself in 15-45 minutes early then just sits and looks around until lights out lol.
