Sleeping times

So when we first got Calvin she slept when the light went off n woke up when it came on. The she started goin sleep before the light went off so we changed the times. Now she's still awake when the light is off for a while, wake up when it comes on but seems to sleep on n off through the day times.

Is this normal?? I'm thinkin it's not n I'm abit worried with how often her sleepin pattern seems to be changing.

It's normal for them to "hunker down" in their preferred sleep spot before the lights go off. I would stick to one schedule, don't change it based on what she's doing. If she falls asleep a half hour before lights out, that's okay. If she is actually going to sleep (eyes closed) in the middle of the day, that's a problem. The only way you'll be able to know for sure though is if you lock in a pretty tight schedule.

Because you say she seems to be sleeping on and off through the day you might want to fill in the "How to Ask For Help" stuff. Just copy, paste, type in as detailed an explanation as you can. Names of light bulbs and supplements are preferred. Post pictures if you are unsure. Pictures of the habitat and the animal are always helpful.

Oh, and "fecal description" means: tell us what the poop looks like. Be graphic. If unsure, post a picture (yes, poop pictures are okay to post).

I was wondering about this with Wilfred. I've had him 2 weeks now, I wake him up at 8am and lights out at 8pm. His poo's normal, eat's very well and is quite active during the day but in the last few days has been going to his usual sleeping spot 2 or more hours b4 lights out? Are my lights on-off times ok?

Yeah light schedule is fine. He's just getting in his spot getting ready for bed.

As Elizadolots said going to sleep shortly before lights out is not a problem in the winter but sleeping during the day is a sign of illness.
