So I have had my cham a week Thursday and for the first time she fell asleep early, like 6pm my time.I noticed that she went to the bottom for the first time and looked at her 30 minutes later to find shes out?I know this isn't good. What does this mean? What can I do?
6pm is ok.....did she fall asleep in her normal spot or on the bottom of her cage?
ok so today she is still in the same spot as last night. So these eggs would not be worth anything or is the a chance the they will hatch?she has to be three months old she is tiny, told by breeder,I have yet to measure or take a clear pic of her.The lighting is 60 watt bulb with a 24 inch repiglo 5.0 on a 24 inch cage.
Take her to the vet in the morning.
Chams needs to sleep at night for a good length of time. It is possible that since you are having the lights turn off at 10:00pm, she is sleeping in. DO as someone mentioned: have the light schedule closely mimic the natural daylight cycle.
She is too young to even develop eggs. So I wouldn't worry about that. Just make sure she is eating and drinking. If she is eating, drinking and pooping, chances are she is alright.
If she sleeps during the day, that could be an issue.
Get the lights to more of a natural cycle and then watch her sleep cycle.
I don't know if you are handling her, but the only time I handled her was to clean the cage or put her outside.
How much are you handling her?
Ok thanx for chiming in,I was getting a little worried. As for handling I'm waiting till she is bigger, maybe a month or two. So,zero times that she has been handled.
