Hello again, Here is my male Jackson and as you can see the spot first started out yellow then it turned black, then it turned into this lump. They were shipped during cold months (maybe frost bite)? Has anyone seen this skin issue before? I have dosed 20 times with reptaid. Does anyone have any experience with this medicine? They were bought live caught from Underground Reptiles.

Cage 5ft tall 2ftx2ft
temp day 85-90
night temp 70
watering every 3 hours for 60 seconds from 9am to 8pm
humidity 65-85%
eatinf roaches,crickets,superworms, dusting with D3

thats interesting, do you know where they were supposedly live caught from?
about your animal, my advice
1. stop giving reptaid, your animal has some severe metabolic issues, if you want to get your animal healthy again you need to get him on a reasonable metabolic plan, imo, the reptaid has already done all its going to do, continuing its use will only serve to push his metabolism farther out of balance.

2. theres not even really basic information. if you want help with your animal, you have to at least make an effort. imo, this animal needs a vet immediately, in the meantime i would repost using the help form in its entirety and include every detail you can think of, be specific, a lot of different products have very similar names,so dont just call products sort of what they sound like, actually name the products using their real name as written on the container.

3. 5' cage implies home built which often causes problems with coatings, plastics, metals etc, so include every construction detail you can think of.

4. how old are your lights and what kind/distance ? even if this animal was perfectly healthy, it wouldnt stay that way for long, he needs to be put on a balanced diet plan and a balanced supplement plan. to be honest, i dont think this animal is going to make it. at first glance this lesion looks as though it might be pathogenic ie; parasites, but you would probably need to do a biopsy/microscopy on that lesion, to find out.

5. dont just rely on others to tell you what to do, actually hit the books and learn for yourself what the care parameters are for this animal. imo, the maximum temps available to this animal should be no more than 82-84* accurately measured, please include info on how you measure your temps. he needs a balanced temp gradient in his cage 82-84 sweet spot of his basking, a secondary basking zone where he can get out of the heat of the uvb if desired. upper 70s mid cage, lower 70s lower cage, night temps a little warmer than usual because of his condition so, i woulds say night temps of around 65 for now.

6. if possible include pics of your cage plus picks of its urates.

7. as a wild guess, im going to go out on a limb and say you should stop giving d3 for a while based on the assumption that this animal has already had far too much d3. imo, a matchead or 2 a month of a D3 product is all that this animal needs d3 wise. im guessing its probably been getting considerably more.

8. if you are able, and you are serious about keeping it alive then i would take it to the vet, first thing in the morning. sorry, i know its not the answer you were looking for, just calling it like i see it. whatever that thing is, your animal will need to be in a better state of health in order to get rid of it. jmo
