silk farm

They most likely have more than one worm in it... Those worms seem packed, kinda hard not to form a cocoon that mergers to one.

A friend of mine who is Korean grew up in the country. Her family ran a huge farm, and were diversified in their business. They had a silkworm "farm" on their property. To sell the cocoons to the silk industry. My friend hated it because all the kids had to take their turns working in there and she couldn't stand the sound of the thousands (millions?) of silkworms "chewing" their leaves. Also, when it came time to change the "bedding", she would have to scoop up the live silkworms and clean out beneath them. When she was old enough to undersand, her mother told her "Don't think of them as worms, think of them as money". She said that after that she would run that mantra in her head while she worked in there, and that it helped her tolerate them.
