Should I save them?!?

I was at a local pet store and saw these little guys. They looked way to small to be getting sold. Are any of you getting that same vibe? However if I bought him, he would have to stay with my 3-4 month old Cham. Which btw they are both veiled chameleons. And be with each other for about 7-10 business days or until my big cage arrives for my older one. All I will have to do at that point is buy new lights. What do any of you think? If you have the time, money, dedication, and will then go for it.

Just be sure to get a complete set up for them. I'm pretty sure your veiled will eat those baby chams if you housed them together.

The other day I was at a local pet club store and I seen 2 male 6 month old Ambanja Panther chameleons. They were in glass enclosures, substrate, water bowls, the whole 9. They even had a nice veiled that was sleeping during the day. But I can't afford to take care of another cham so I had to just let them be. Sucks, but it's like that with majority of all pet stores.

I almost bought two today that were that small too! I felt so bad and didn't think they were any where near old enough :( I should've pulled the trigger but I'm moving soon... Blahhh ill get another one soon!

problem with "rescue" in this type situation imo is it encourages a pet store to get more and run the same bad procedures. u would probably be better talking to them and trying to improve what they do.

Oh I told some people today what they needed to do to improve their chameleon set ups today at a pet store in pa. They liked the advice!! Hopefully they listen

imo its not truely rescue, its like buying a puppy at a puppy mill, more you buy the more demand there is..

This is the kind on incidents that need to be brought up to the manager of the store and educated on chameleon care and if that store is a major chain then the home offices needs to be informed of the terrible actions by the local store....store managers need to be educated and their staff also......everyone on these boards needs to protest at every store that cares for these creatures in this way.

They look like little crickets clinging to the screen.... poor little guys!!! It's sooo hard not to "save" them.....

I see your located in Washington, where exactly is this store? I will personally make sure to educate the store on proper care!

Haha in snohomish at bridges pets. But yea I see what you all mean. I personally wouldn't mind buying another for future breeding purposes but as you can see, they are kinda small to determine sex. I do have my current setup that I would be giving her and valcron will be having his big boy cage soon. That way they would be separated ASAP

And I'm not sure if valcron has the ego that he is the top of food chain yet. Stubborn as he is, he is still kind of a baby ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362797680.971632.jpg
