Should I leave a heat lamp on at night?

Hi! I’ve been wondering if I should leave my red heat lamp on for my cham at night? he has slept with it on every night since i got him last week (he is only a baby) but last night he was awake at about 12:30 and was moving around even though I left the nightlight on for him (which he usually goes to sleep maybe 2-3 mins after i turn it on at 8:30) i was wondering if i should turn it off tonight to see if there is any difference, it is about 60-65° F in my house at night.

Chameleons need total dark at night for then to sleep properly and a drop in temp is good for them. So no heat lamp or light

If it's only been a week, it probably hasn't done any serious harm yet, but you 100% need to stop using it at night. Also, red lights in general are not recommended (switch to a regular incandescent bulb). At this point, he probably just hasn't gotten as restful sleep as he needs, but it is very bad for chameleons to have any light at night. Your night temperatures are fine, so there is no need for supplementary heat anyways

I also only used that one at night so I will for sure stop
