Should I be worried ?

Hi guys,
I just want some opinions really as Gizzy has stopped curling her tail properly in the last few days. She is eating and drinking as well as being as bright green as possible. She has always spiralled her tail especially at bedtime, but now it is more like a corkscrew than a spriral. I can`t work out if there is a problem, any ideas ? Thanks in advance, Sal.

Here is a pic I have just taken. Sorry it is not too good, but she had just gone to bed. It`s almost like she has forgotten how to curl up her tail

maybe she doesnt want to.

3 of my chams sleep with curled tials, one doesnt.
one slept with it stick straight one night.

:) Thanks - I hope it is just that she doesn`t want to. We were worried as we were away on holiday last week and when we reurned she had stopped curling her tail. She seems to be doing the cork screw thing all day long. Hopefully just another Gizzy quirk, lol. :D

its its not swollen, doesnt appear broken, and doesnt seem to be hurting her, its a gizzy quirk...
cute name btw.

Sally, does she still have control over it? Does she move it or curl it around your finger if you touch it? None of my veileds have ever curled their tails right up to their body like Panthers and Jacksons do, always just the lower half of the tail. I do understand that you would be worried though - every time one of mine does or doesn't do something I worry!

Camimom - thanks she`s a pretty cute girly ;) I have pressed it etc and there are now physical signs of an injury and she is not uncomfortable.

Tiff - nice to hear from you, i hope you little ones are good ?

She does seem to be using her tail during the day, but it is like she has forgotten how as she ends up doing odd shapes with it> I know it sounds really weird, but even when i put my finger there, she hooks her tail over lightly rather than using it for grip. She has me baffled as she is normal in every other sense (well as normal as she gets anyway lol :D)

I'm sure that everythings fine as long as she still has control over it, My male is an odd ball when it comes to sleeping, he lays down inside a pothos plant to sleep... But he's perfectly healthy and active. Some chams seem to just be a little odd.

Sally it is nice to see you a Gizzy back. I figure that little lady will always go her own way. As long as you see no sign of her have injured it, I would say the usual, just watch her and see what she is doing different over all. Let me know how that sweet girl is doing.

Cheers guys :D

Laurie - I have had a closer look at the tail this morning and noticed that there is actually a kink about 2 inches from the end of her tail :( She is using it, but has little cotrol over that section. As you can see in the pic she tries to curl and ends up with a corkscrew shape. I called the vet and he says to keep an eye on her and take her in is it shows signs of dying or colour changes. Fingers crossed that will not happen :(
