Shedding

I had my Panther for about a month. I have to say Melvin is becoming very friendly and likes to come out of his cage and "HANG OUT" usually on his light chain. I noticed he shed today, which I didn't really see signs of it starting yesterday except for the fact that when he was in his cage, he was a little more reclusive than normal and didnt move around as much. I wanted to know if it always happens that quickly (my bearded usually takes a couple of days) and do they act differently when shedding? Thanks.

My panthers finish their shed in a couple hours normally, however I've seen it take up to 2 days.

The process usually stars two weeks prior, after the first week tou can notice what look to be a grey shade mostly on their tail. During the second week you should see the grayish look on all edges. After that they usually startvtheir shed on the head and eye sockets, the get very tense during this time as they feel vulnerable. After the eye then the feet usually is next, then they feel less vulnerable and start rubbing off the rest. If they seem to be having difficult give them a nice warm misting.

My ambilobe was shedding today too!!! Can't wait to go home after work to see his new "outfit"! I kind of predicted tho, I take note of every shed and my guess for the next one was middle of november!;-)

My panther is 4months. He shedded in a matter of hours. I came home from work, and I noticed it because his skin was all over the leaves.
