Shedding

My juvie veiled is shedding and it looks really uncomfortable for him. Should I help him shed or is it something I should let him do on his own?

It just happened all of a sudden I didn't even realize he was ready to shed.

He should be find shedding on his own. You can mist him with some warm water if you like and that will help him.

Thank I was just concerned as he had some skin over his eye that looked like he was having a difficult time but I just checked on him and it seems most of his molted skin has been removed even around the eyes.

Thanks so much for the advice as my beardie I have to help him sometimes shed but he is a much bigger lizard.

You should leave him to it.. My chameleon is shedding at the moment too it may look uncomfortable but there fine !

It was just the part of his eyes as he pretty much got everything off except his eyes but then I checked again later and all was good.

I didn't realize he was going to shed but I noticed his nostrils looked bigger and once he started shedding his nostrils are no longer like that.

On my bearded dragon I can tell when he is going to shed as his looks like a frosted doughnut as his skin turns white and then it starts shedding off.

I guess as a juvenile the chameleon will shed a lot!

My 5 month old does the same thing. He turned completely white and it looks like he took a dive into powdered sugar. It happened so quick though so I wouldn't be surprised if you missed it.

Well I'm fairly new to this myself, but I've been told that young growing Panthers shed about once every 3-4 weeks. Veiled chameleons grow even faster though, so I would think they shed more often, but I'll let a Veiled owner pipe in on that one.
