Tini started shedding this morning on her head. what do I do.? Ive already misted it twice since she woke up and I saw it starting. But is that all.?

Yeah I noticed that. She's turning into her angry colors....I thought I saw it this morning but wasn't sure. Then sure enough I got home and it was really shedding. Is her head the only place shell shed. i can't see it anywhere else...

It will spread. She may thrash around and yawn to help break it. There will be lots of rubbing on branches too. If your lucky, youll see her reach her hind leg up and scratch her face like a dog!;)

It will go fine:)
Just pay attention to the toes and spikes, as if they dont shed properly it can cut off the circulation to that part, and they can lose it. The little bits can take days to come off. The bulk should come off the first day or so.

How interesting, my little Tobias started to shed this morning too! I woke up, looked at him and was like  He looks very dark and unhappy :( I miseted him with warm water and insured him everything would be OK :)
He doesnt seems to be eating as much, I read that this is normal.

My jackson who hasnt shed in months started today as well! Its a good day for shedding...

Yep. Must be a good day. :) I'm hoping it goes good, cause this is the first time she's shed with me. How often should I mist.?

I mist 8 times a day regularly. I just throw maybe 2 more cycles into the times the cage would usually dry out. So just whatever really. Im sure they would shed just fine without extra mistings, just makes it a little easier on them:)

and my cham has been shedding his whole body for three days! Has not done the full body shed in a long time! I love how the skin underneath looks after they shed.

Its so exciting! I believe the problems Ive been having with Stella have effected her shedding schedule. Its been 3 months or so since she last shed, thats the longest shes ever gone. Shes been doing a ton better with Xanthoman's and others help.:) It seems like a pretty thick layer is coming off this time, like multiple sheds at once. :( Im keeping a close eye on her for this shed.;)

Tobias was all done with his shedding when I got home. He has a wee bit lift on his tail. He gobbled up 1 cricket and then seemed very sleepy.

Good deal, Stella still has a long way to go. I gave her a shower about 45min before lights out. Hopefully she will make more significant progress tomarrow.

What do you do?

TAKE PICTURES!!!

Nothing is better than a great shedding picture...even if makes your chameleon look like the grand dragon of the local KKK....

Hehe. I got some pics. :) I missed a lot of it when I went out for supper. Now its only on her legs and little under her chin and tail. Pretty good. Not scary at all, pretty cool actually.

LOL Why dont you have a tag under your name that says "Official Chameleon Forums Resident Comedian"?

Others are funnier...but you could petition Brad, I guess. I got feedback on my avatar suggesting it looked like the grand dragon at a KKK event...that's what inspired my comment.

Post them! Shed pictures are great. The look on the animal's face is always so "yeah, what's it to you?"

I'm gonna post them tomorrow after school. I have pictures when it first started, and right now. She's sleeping in the last ones though. The first ones she was not happy. She was just staring at me. lol. :)
