Shedding question

Hey guys,

My little guy started shedding later in the day today and he"s almost done ( just most of his tail and a couple pieces on his body and legs left).

But he doesn't seem to worried about getting those last little bits off, and his lights turn off in this than an hour.


My question is will he be fine going to sleep like that? Or will he even go to sleep still sheeding?

He'll be fine. My cham stayed shedding for about two days. Just up his mistings a bit, and don't peel them off.

He will be fine. Probably finish tomorrow or the next. As they start to get older you will find it is a couple day process. When they come close to adult age you will notice that they start to shed different parts of their body. Each time up the misting/ humidity and you should be fine.

I have another random and off topic question


My guy is a little piggy and can put back some crickets and I noticed him hovering around his food bowl so I put some in there and he crushed them.


My question is, is there anything wrong with him eating not to long before lights out

Linda hit the nail on the head. Probably want to cut food out about 2-3 hours before lights out. As she stated heat is the main ingrediant to digesting the food. If he ate a few it wont hurt him but in the future probably not the best of ideas.

feed in the morning or mid day. I was advised against a feeding bowl it takes the hunt out of it and we need to keep their instincts up as much as possibly. I had a veiled i cup feed he became a lazy boy and was very pissy when he seen me with out the cup.

I feed both in the morning and mid day. Like 5 crickets in the morning, and 5 mid day. After each time he gets fed, I take him outside for about 30 minutes to enjoy some south Florida sunlight.

And thats not necessarily true. Lots of us on here hand and cup feed our chams. It helps them realize that were not predators.
