She tried to bite me!

I was cleaning out Shybug's cage & she tried to bite me, not once but twice! I can't believe it! I could believe it if she was bigger, but she's only 3-4". Looks like I'm gonna have my hands full with this one! Is it normal for them to be so nasty as such a young age?

My female veiled ALWAYS tries to bite me.

She hisses, gapes & tries to attack my hand.

So I try not to mess with her or the cage or anything in it unless I have to.

I've seen a really bad bite mark here from a forum member that owned a female veiled and he said it required 5 stitches.. Ooouch!

Sooooo I don't wanna see if mine bites that hard.

Yeah, I seen that post too. It just suprised me because she's so little still. Like I said, 3 maybe 4 inches. Big attitude for such a little thing! I also have her brother, and he's not like that at all.

I have 3 ladies and 1 male. The male used to gape and hiss before he got to know me. (I hand fed him some supers and now he loves me.) Of my 3 ladies only 1 is a pistol like yours. I ignore her and she backs off. Just don't pull your hand away quickly if she bites. The teeth are tiny but act like a serated knife.

Guess I'm just used to veileds.
