By the way, how do you know that there isn't anything in the other half of the form you didn't fill out that may be contributing to the shaking? Just playing devils advocate here : P

True. Hopefully there will be some clarification. :)
However, with so many issues (female, now male).... I would hope there would at least be one post where the form is completely filled out and not half done.. :(
 
Hey guys I do appreciate your concern and that your willing to help.
There is a male and female the female is doing great just a little grumpy is all.
The vet said the male has some sort of gene problem with producing the D3. Not exact words. I use Roman lettuce for gut loading don't know if thats bad like normal lettuce???? I'm trying to do the help forum now but cant paste it so will take sometime. Ill get back to you all asap!

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Dripper and misting 3 times a day till water beds but doesn't drip
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
Brown and yellow white. No that will be done this Friday

2'x2'x4' full screen with wood frame
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?65 wat basking light 5.0 reptisun lights on 7am to 9pm

Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
basking is 84.4right this second 75.3 at the floor as well I have digital temp and a heat gun
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Humidity is normaly 60% 80% after misting two gauges
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Two live pothos plants

Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
my room fans and vents are across the room 2' at base of his cage
Location - Where are you geographically located?
Southern California

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.
My male veiled has a shake when he walks like he is weak. Also while basking he rest on his stomach.

You said you use Rep cal Multivitamins he does get natural sunlight about 5 hours a week...is the sunlight passing through plastic or glass?
Since the feeder insects usually have a poor ratio of calcium to phos. its important to dust at most feedings with a phos.-free calcium powder such as Rep-cal phos.-free calcium. I also dust twice a month with a phos.-free calcium/D3 powder...but my chameleons get no natural sunlight most of the time. I also dust with Herptivite vitamins twice a month. Since it has only beta carotene forms of vitamin A I don't have to worry about overdosing them with vitamin A...and if I felt any showed signs of vitamin A deficiency I could give them a little separately from the rest of the vitamins.

You can gutload the crickets, locusts, superworms with an assortment of greens (dandelions, kale, collards, endive, escarole, mustard greens) and veggies (carrots, squash, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, zucchini, etc.). Romaine lettuce is okay to include in the gutload...it gives some nutrients and moisture....but it shouldn't be the main part of the gutload IMHO.

He gets sunlight threw glass every day all day and the 5 hours of light is threw his outside screen cage

the uvb he needs to produce d3 , CANNOT go through glass....:o

might as well get a reptisun 5.0 linear fixture:o

Alright, first of, thanks for filling in the rest of the form : )

According to your regimen, You're going to want to add a phosphorus free calcium powder with D3, as others have already stated, I would advice using that powder maximum once a week, ideally twice a month, If your cham is getting natural UNFILTERED (literally outside, not in front of a window or plastic/glass barrier) sunlight you can use less calcium with D3. The Days you are not using the Calcium with D3, I would advice using a phosphorus free calcium WITHOUT D3, that is my personal dusting shed and I find it is a very commonly used one amongst members on the forum that has yeiled positive results. The herpative which you already have i use twice a month also

My Other concern, because I can't seem to find a definitive answer, maybe I overlooked the thread, but I'd like to know if you are keeping the Male and female within the same cage? This may not have a direct correlation to your male chams shaking, but clearing this up may prevent future problems.

Now, my third concern, is your gutload for your crickets, lettuce, whether romaine or otherwise although is a good consideration for gut loading, shouldn't be the BASIS of your gut load, you should consider adding a variety of vegetables/fruits, the more colours the better, add some shredded carrots/yams/apples, diced Zucchini, dandelion greens, mustard greens, swiss chard, bok choy, BUT avoid Broccoli and Spinach.

I would really like to see some picture of your cham, It would help a lot with our "observation" and decisiveness as to what may be wrong, or causing the problem.

Thank you very much the male and female are not together they are across the room from one another I know seeing each other could cause problems.
I will also start using other things for my gut-loading tomorrow once I go to town.

Sorry, I overlooked the lighting the first time I read the ask for help form..my bad :rolleyes:
I also noticed that his urates were a little on the yellow side which would suggest that he's a little dehydrated...although you spray and have a dripper...but it's hard to tell without pictures.
Can you post any pictures so we can visually check him out along with his setup?

yes Ill try and get you guys some pictures asap. I have seen him drink many times he just doesn't do it as often as my female.
 
what do you use

Just to make it a little easier what supplements do you guys use. Hope this will make them easier for me to find and Ill know what works! Thanks guys
