Do you have the sand as a substrate?

Anyway, she's about to lay eggs (fertile eggs if you mate her with a male or infertile eggs if you have not mate her)
get her A five gallon bucket filled with moist (not wet) mixture of sand and soil (at least a third of the bucket). Give her complete privacy. If she saw you peeking at her while she's digging, she can disrupt the activity.

Failure to provide her proper digging site and giving her privacy can cause your chameleon to be egg bound (could be very fatal).

yes i do have sand at bottom of viv and i have not mated her as i have only got her i will leave her alone how long does this take and when she has laid them shpuld i remove them omg this is a lot to take in i hope she does not get egg bound id hate anything to happen to her thank you for all your help xx

A 12 month old female Veiled could certainly be laying infertles, but if she was recently housed with a male since I know you recently got her she could have fertile eggs.

I guess it is good that you have sand that she is digging in to indicate this, however you should not have sand or any substrate on the bottom of the cage. They need at least 10-15" of sand in a large container 10-15" around to dig in and lay eggs. Can you take the sand out of the bottom of the viv-put it in a bucket the size that I mentioned it, then moisten the sand so that she can dig a tunnel. Sand needs to be moist enough that she can dig and the sand will not collapse as she makes this tunnel. Also have a branch or something running down into the pot or bucket so that she can get in and out.
