Running away

My chameleon has been with me for a few months now, but he still runs from me when ever I go in the room. I ve sat in the room quietly for up to 30 minutes. He will not come out of his hiding spot. Is this ever going to change? I never get to see him.

In my experience it can take repeated daily exposure. They have to learn that we are not a threat. That we bring the food. This may mean sitting in the room within view of the cham for an hour every day. Some do not ever tolerate their human. It really just depends on the cham what they are willing to allow.
