Rudis chameleon (side stripe)

Hello, in addition to the ten Pygmy's I got I also picked up a female (supposedly gravid) rudis chameleon.

I can't find much info for these guys so any advise on proper care would be appreciated. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1363648799.164175.jpg

Yes, you need a lot more in that enclosure! A nice schefflera would fill it out well with some sticks. LOTS of humidity. 70% and higher humidity, ambient temps in the 70s and a basking site of around 85 should do. She definitely looks chunky! She also looks very nice for a WC.

(i think name is chameleo or triocerus sternfeldi)rudis can also retain sperm..baies can be slightly more difficult, seem to drop off around the 3 to 4 month mark..good luck, and congrats, she is beautiful......

That's looking better but I would still add a schefflera. I have noticed with my chams that more hiding spots equals less stress, which is the name of the game with chams. Looking good tho

I would also add a lot more branches. Instead of schefflera (if you can't find one), you can use Ficus benjamina as well. They're my basic plant in alsmost all my terraria. The twigs of a Ficus are big enough to support the weight of a small chameleon, the foliage provides hiding places, there are lots of leafs to drink water from after you misted, and the plant will easily grow into the terrarium.

Here's how I use plants and branches:
