Rubbing head before pooping

So I am a new Cham owner.I have a Veiled and his name is flash. I seen Flash poo for the first time today. I read they go to the bottom of the cage do their business. So when I seen Flash start moving to the bottom after eating I sat and watched him. Before he did his business he started to rub his face on a branch right where he pooed. He just shed like a week ago and I cant see any dead skin anywhere on him. His poo looks to be normal. I am not worried but through all my research I have never came across anything stating that they do this behavior. Is he scent marking?? He was using his chin.

Hi there welcome to the forum. I think it was just a chance situation that he rubbed prior. They can rub their faces for quite a few reasons besides just shed.
