Roaming his cage all day

my male veiled is roaming up and down in his enclosure all day long. This is the third year in a row that he does this. Same time every yr. he will do it for about two weeks then stops. So my question is is he looking for a lady friend or is he just getting more active due to it being spring? Just curious.

Here in Chicago it’s real dry during the winter so I keep the humidity up for my Chams but as soon as it naturally starts to get humid out he starts getting super active like he wants out of his enclosure.after about a week or two he’s back to normal. So it probably is both. Thanks. Appreciate it
