So, I finally gave in and got some dubia roaches, thinking my children would love me forever. The result is a complete fail! Bishop ignored them, Rocky (my beardie) ate one and ignores them too and Ripley spent last hour following her roach, still not eaten it. What the hell?
I have had roaches for 4 months and none of my 3 chams would eat any of them, or so I thought. I found out this weekend that 2 of the 3 love them, but they will only eat them if I hand feed. I have to hold them up so the cham can see the underside with all the moving legs and antenae.
Ripley currently hates me, so handfeeding is not n option. She goes through stages where I'm either her most or least favorite person. But the nest time she likes me, I'll try showing her their underside.
Bishop just won't eat at all if there's no food he likes. That' just how he is.
