Spike was my first chameleon.

He was a wild caught adult when I got him 2 years ago. He somehow survived my newbie learning curve. He'd been slowing down now for many months, so this was not a surprise.

I will miss him, but I have to thank him for opening my eyes to the wonders of chameleons.

Hey Eliza,

So sorry for your loss; two years is quite some time for a wild caught, especially for the "learning curve".

I would be proud.

I hope you keep on with your chameleon endeavors.

Awe sorry for your loss of Spike. I am sure you provided him with a great home and life in your care.

Thank you. I intend to.

I have a new Fischer's who is sort of a "bucket" chameleon for a breeder (read: CB!). He's tiny and has very bent horns, but he's adorable. I named him Dexter, but I tend to call him "new dude".

I'm mentally setting aside assumed Christmas money to revamp lights and stuff to be ready for the spring babies. I'd just love to get a Carpet baby.

Thank you Carol!

Best of luck. Let me know if I can help with lighting or anything as a late x-mas present if you are short.
