Rhododendron?

I know the Rhododendron bush is not cham safe but i have the perfect little one in my front yard. Could i put spike in it if i watch him carefully. I didnt know if it could hurt him or not

He may take a bite ... do you want to risk it?

Yeh i decided i wont im gonna take apart my free range so i can use my big umbrella tree to put outside for him
