Very cool Chuck.
We have a group of them living here at the Denver zoo. They are fascinating to observe.
I don't keep snakes but if I did, I think I would keep a species like this one.

I bred snakes for years before chameleons. All I have left is my pair of western hognose that just came out of hibernation. I'm selling them soon as well. I have always loved rinos though. Every time I see some for sale I have to remind myself I should't, haha!

Oh wow, I really like him! I have wanted a Malaysian vine snake for a few years now but have waited because they only eat lizards so I would need a good supply of feeder chams (lol, JK...anoles or house geckos are key here) and am not totally comfortable feeding lizards off. How is this guys care? How long have you had him? I have two corns and a rough green and they are a lot of fun.

I know that vine snakes are rear-fanged venomous and I have no problem with that, especially as they are display animals only. They are also only mildly to moderately venomous and would not kill you or even make you really sick unless you had an already compromised immune system or were unfortunately allergic to their venom.

They are really neat snakes, but I know that I could not care for one properly right now. That is why I got my rough green snake- he is slender, whippy and bright green- very similar in appearance to a vine, but much smaller and easier. Rough greens are actually one of the very few insectivorous snakes around.

They get about 3 feet long.
