Reusing old cage?

So I have a new cage from DIY that’s a 36x24x24. I was thinking about putting my female veiled in their, who’s currently in 36x18, doing a deep clean in her current set up and putting my new panther into it. Would I be better off just buying a new cage or would that be fine? I don’t want to risk anything bad. Also concerned it might be a bit to big for the little fella. He’s 5 months

Pics for size reference. He will hand/cup feed and I have a shooting gallery. Just worried he might have trouble finding food

Would like to get some input about the cleaning/re housing part before I do it. We have a reptile store 20 mins away so I can always just grab a new one.

Just clean it thoroughly with warm water and dawn soap -- let it dry completely and unless the old cage held a sick or parasitic chameleon I think you should be okay.

If it were me I would disassemble the cage for cleaning to get all the nooks and crannies.

I may end up just putting baby in the bigger cage. Id have to build a bridge and hope for the best in guiding her. I’m done with the tug-o-war with the stick. I think she is getting ready to be receptive (first time for me and her) she is all over the cage trying to break out and showing super bright colors. Especially now that she saw the new cage with a couple branches in it. She’s unaware that there is another Cham.
