Hey everyone!

We can't seem to locate a new bulb for Zephyr's cage. Our herp guy said that they were being discontinued in Canada, and he was showing us a new light we should get. Does anyone have any more info on this issue? Did they just change names? We can only find Repti-Lights at the commericial pet stores in the area (Kitchener, Ontario). Thanks guys :D

hello, im from stratford and i just bought one from one of the forum sponsers, chameleon nation. I think i got the last one but i believe more were going to be ordered. You can check out cham nations website at www.trinitychameleons.com and contact him via email and find out. I know the pet store in stratford has exo terra 5.0 but i dont know much abnout them.

been using the exoterra version for the last 2 months because i couldnt find the reptisun. ive heard zoomed puts more work into their products but i honestly havnt noticed a difference. i was at port credit pet store bout a week & a half ago & they had some in stock. if theyre being discontinued, you guys might wanna hurry up & get there cuz im thinkin i might stock up. :p im pretty sure ive seen the 5.0 reptisun at reptilia fairly recently too...

iv seen them at my local big als but if you wanna go for a drive reptillia in vaughn definatly has them

In a pinch, get a ReptiGLO 5.0 instead.
I've always had trouble getting the ReptiSUN local to me, and there seems to be an even greater challenge recently while stock is changed over from T12 to T8 (or so Im told)

Hey guys. Went to BigAl's today and they are able to order them in. We were going to get a few but they are $35 so we are going to try to see what the reptile show at the end of April has to offer. They didn't seem to know much about the discontinuation but that does not really surprise me. Thanks to everyone for the input, we will check Pc pets next time we are in the area.

Not sure about your situation up there in Canada but Zoomed made a decision to discontinue making the t12 version of the Reptisun. The t12 linear bulbs are fatter(bigger around) than the newer bulbs being used more recently- t8. I'm not sure if t8 bulbs are common in Canada but they are skinnier(smaller around) than the t12s. Americans have had t8 and t12 bulbs around for awhile but I think Zoomed has just started making exclusively t8bulbs in the last 6 months. Whatever you see that is t12 is old inventory being sold off.

Hope this post was helpful!

Yes, T12s are less efficient, and soon will no longer be sold in Canada (regardless of manufacturer). Most places are running out of the old stock and finally switching to the T8s or better

Not to promote, but we do ship supplies to Canada. If you only buy one bulb - probably won't save you money, as we ship via Global priority mail, and it is not as cheap as fed ex ground in the states. However, if you buy a few bulbs, they will be way cheaper than that. Our price on the bulbs is $14.09 each for the smaller sizes. Hope that helps!

Thanks, the new bulb he was showing us must have been the new smaller ones. I guess I should order up!
