repiratory infection?

what would be some key symptoms associated with a respiratory infection? I just saw my chameleon open her mouth a couple times and got concerned. I misted her cage just in case she was thirsty and since she has stopped... right now she is just basking.

was the mouth open while she was basking? what was the temp? it could be she was gaping because she was too hot. if shes opening her mouth frequently and all over the cage that can be sign. others include excessive stringy saliva, bubbling y the mouth, wheezing and/or popping sounds while breathing, tilting head straight up and constant swallowing are signs. i have a feeling she was just gaping. just remember not to keep things consistently wet especially towards night time and let everything dry between mistings

well she wasnt near her basking spot when she did that, and that was the 1st time ive seen her do that, ill keep an eye out for the other signs, thanks for the help. Other then that i mist her twice a day for 5-7 min each once in the morning and once around 3 pm

What was the ambient temp? Could also be an upcoming shed coming up and stretching the skin around the mouth. Lots of possibilities just keep an eye out.
