Rep-Cal Phosphorous free calcium

I decided to buy some at a local pet shop. I dusted the cricketts with the calcium for the chams daily feedings. Through my observations my chams didn't enjoy the cricketts much today. One of them actually spat the crickett right out and didnt eat anymore till I put some non-dusted cricketts in. Is this usual?

how do you guys dust your crickets...??? is one way better than another??
