Reno Today

So you mean the breeder told you that it was a boy? How could THEY make that mistake!? She is a beauty and I hope you are gonna keep her!!
Oh YES I was told it was a boy! And I don't know HOW they made the mistake. When you're at an expo, you tell the seller you want a male, they check them all and say "I'm 100 per cent certain this is a male" and you pay the premium..WELL I expected to have a male.
LLL is still saying it's a male. Heck-I'm new to all this but I've seen enough photos now that even I as a newbie now know Reno is a female.

Did you let them know you were told by multiple people on the chameleon forums it was a female? LLL is really good with working with people when there is a mix up. Sexing mistakes happen

LLL buys from multiple breeders wholesale. They will not disclose the linage and often times may not know.

that sucks:(...i am dying to know where she cam from...oh welll....now there is even more excitement in breeding her in the future;):D

Theresa is a female I believe
Oh hell, I don't mind being called a "dude". I get called worse because supposedly women don't like reptiles like I do. :D

There is a reptile show in Phoenix at the end of November. :D
Now I KNOW there's a conspiracy for me to buy another panther!

Yes, Mistakes Do Happen

Oh yes, I phoned them and emailed them multiple times...Still saying it's a boy and it's still early. But are totally offering me store credit back because they do want me to be happy with my chameleon. So MAJOR points for their customer service and willingness to work with me. I am not going to poor mouth them in any way because they have been courteous and respond quickly to my emails.

Awesome female!!! Sexing mistakes happen, it is easy to do when they are young. Sometimes the tail base is hard to tell and so is color. That one has such strong bars I can see how it happened. The pink probably wasn't showing before you had it. Now you just need to get a male!:) The place that sold it will probably give you a price adjustment.

Well, thanks. But I wanted a male for my first panther and was told it was a male when I bought it (and I paid more for a male). I feel pretty superficial for thinking of sending her back since she's a "she" and not a "he".

I would contact the breed and ask for a refund for the difference....usually males sale for more and keep that beautiful female.
