Hi i have just got my first chameleon wanted one for so long finally got the money together to fund him, anyway i am just posting this to get sum feedback and i just want to make sure im doing everything properly i understand chameleons are creatures that need a lot of care and attention and i did loads of research before actually getting one. I also would like to know if someone could try sex him properly for me ill upload pics with this if not very soon after.
I found one of these to fill out so u get a idea of everything going on.
Chameleon Info:
• Your Chameleon - Sambava panther chameleon, been in my care for 3 weeks and he is 4-5 months
• Handling - I sometimes get him out the cage he changes aptterns not so much colour maybe a bit darker and different patterns.
• Feeding - Feed him crickets, about 5-12 a day is wat he will eat. I put them in before i go to work just after i turn lights on and i gutload my feeders with apple potato and carrot at the moment.
• Supplements - i have a calcium dusting which is for everyday without d-3 and then multivitamins and calcium woth d3 once a month.
• Watering - i mist him every morning wen i get up i usually have sumone mist him in the day then wen i get home i mist again 2-3 days his dripper is on.
• Fecal Description - his poo is solid brown with white urate attached.
Cage Info:
• Cage Type - glass front rest wood, i was uncertain bout glass but shop keeper said screen usually for america as hotter im in uk so glass is ok as a front also well ventalated at back.
• Lighting - i have his basking light and 5.0 uvb strip light on 12 hours a day then 12 hours dark.
• Temperature - the temp at basking spot is about 85 and coolest about 70 in shade at nyt lowest it gets is 60.
• Plants - I have no real plants as of yet.
• Placement - My room ill take pics of cage and place ment he neva gets stressed wen i walk past or if i sit to watch him for while.
• Location - england

. Maybe lower period of the 4 months. But i think it is around that age ues the shop owner told me these ones were slow growers.
