What other herps do you keep?!!

The deremensis are looking better and better each day, Kent. They look great! Janet looks fantastic, too. Is she gaining weight? Do you think copulation was successful?

All the best,

Fabián

They look great kent!!!!! I too love the deremensis!!!! Janet is lookin pretty hot too!!! Looks like she will be "taking it off" here soon:rolleyes: The avatar is great also!!!!!

Thanks, again. :) Although they eagerly eat everything offered, I've been trying to not get carried away with feeding the T. deremensis. They're definitely still growing quickly. Not too quickly, I hope?

As for Mrs. Jackson, I sure think she's gravid. She still acts very aggressively towards Randy. I haven't seen any noticeable size gain, yet, but have noticed her taking much more interest in "boring" crickets lately. Fingers crossed!

Those are the only torts. I also have a recently introduced pair of Dendrobates azureus and the green tree pythons, both of which I'm hoping reproduce this year, rounding out the herp collection. I'm considering some Malagasy geckos at Anaheim next month. Can't decide what, though. I've always wanted Phelsumas and Uroplatus phantasticus.

Aren't you afraid your torts will fall down the steps?

It's actually funny. I watch them walk right up to the edge, look down, and turn right around. Sometimes they'll follow the edge of the step just to make sure, and then turn around. I've only had them right there a few times and so far it seems there's not a chance they'd try it willfully. Anyone with more tortoise experience than me know if they'd try it?

Tort#1:Think we a can make it?
Tort#2:Why do you think we have these hard shells you bonehead
Tort#1: :(

Hey Kent....great pics!! Is the boy in pics #1 and#2 a brother to the ones I got from you?? If so, they all look just like him!

Great pics....I love your torti's!

Nice pictures Kent! Your deremensis-es look great. Mine shed today and he wasn't too happy about it. Are you working at the Anaheim show?

Yep, that's the one that was walking around biting all his siblings at 3 months old!

Tylene, yes I will be working at the Tiki booth in Anaheim. Can't wait! This show's always fun! Thanks for the tortoise love, everyone!

Well, I'm "babysitting" two tortoises this summer holidays for one school (testudo hermanni and testudo marginata) and I must say they try going everywhere, so nothing like stairs can stop them- they move very fast (well, they are still kids- about two years old) But it's a different species so yours can be more clever :)

Kent, nice shots, though I think my deremensis are way cutier than yours...:p

Love the herd of tortoises photo too.
