I'm getting a chameleon next week, and I always thought about something...
I'm going to have a MistKing set up, so hydration wouldn't be a problem.

What if I were to leave/go on vacation for a weekend?

Are chameleons(panther) okay to not eat for a day or two, even three? - or would I have to throw a lot of food in his feeding cup to let them last more than a day?

As long as you have hydration happening any adult full size chameleon should be okay for 2 or even 3 days. Once they are adults, it's common to only feed them every other day anyway.

I'm sure a healthy chameleon can make it even 5 days. I'm sure it's not good for the chameleon, but it definitely will not kill it.

Thanks...the chameleon won't be an adult...it's 3.5 months old - I was just wondering because I don't want to bother my parents to feed him! It's only 2 nights, So i'll make sure to feed the heck out of him before I go if anything :)

I'm sure it would be okay, but if you can enlist someone to come by and pop some feeders in it would be better. If you can make is super easy (as in: no need to handle the bugs) I bet even Mom would be willing. You could cull out some crickets, put them in a deli cup with air holes* with a piece of apple or carrot (so it's not dry). Tell her to just take the lid off and dump it in. You will need to retrieve the apple or carrot later.

*"deli cup" just means a cheap plastic container with a lid. It could be anything. If it had food in it before, just clean it out well. Poke lots of holes in the top and a few around the sides for ventilation
