My chameleon has been opening his mouth really wide, and kind of making a huffing sound afterwards. What is this? He doesn't seem sick, just maybe like a yawn or something?

Are you all up in his face? It could be a hiss if he's startled. Chameleons sort of huff rather than hiss.

They might yawn once in a while but usually if they do it a lot it not good. What's the temps in the cage and do you see any mucus or bubbles at all in his mouth?

No Im not up in his face. he does it more often in his cage. ya its more of a huff not a hiss

the temp is 85. and no i dont see any mucus or bubbles in his mouth. everything looks fine. he has just started doing that
