Question about plants

In our chameleon cage can the plants thrive off of the standard basking bulb and the 10.0 reptisuns/5.0 reptisuns? Do they NEED additional lighting?

I have found some plants do better. my reptile room has become a plant rescue room. a week or two in the mist and light and they usualy perk up. I personaly use "arboria-cola" in my enclosures. rocks a the bottom of the pot around the drain hole also help keep plant properly drained.

my pothos do fine with very little light. Ive got a small basking bulb(household incandescent tungsten) and a tube light on each cage and the pothos thrive, even though they're only in little jars of water (no soil)

i had pothos plant growin nuts with low light , almost no light.

Plants require to light *energy*, carbon dioxide , SUgar to create photosynthesis.

the basking light puts of heat which works as energy, the plants don't use the UV very much but will use the heat put off the basking bulb alot more.

BUT natural light in the morning is best, so if you can give your plants morning sun , they perk up really well, especially ficus benjamina.

ohhh ok. I was going to say both my pothos plants are doing well but my weeping fig not so much lol.
