Purple Bar?

Is there such thing as a Purple Bar Panthers? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the purple coloring is just a fluke in some panthers, but I can't remember where I read it.
I'm starting research on what I want next for when I'm ready. And if it is not against the rules, can anyone tell me of reputable breeders?

Some ambanja panthers can have "purple" hues on their vertical bars.

That's what I was thinking, that it was more of a coloration of a blue bar.

Well if you want something that'll look different from other panthers, you can get a hybrid. I've preordered a "tour of Madagascar" from Kammerflage Kreations and the sire has ambilobe, ambanja, sambava, nosey be, etc. The only "downside" is that you don't really know how the colors will turn out. But that's half the fun IMO.
