puffed neck

does anyone know why my veiled puffs up his neck sometimes when he's basking. could it be early signs of URI?

does he keep it out constantly ? or is it only when he sees you ? also how is his temperment towards you ?

Does he ever open his mouth? Have you noticed any extra saliva in his mouth?

if im not mistaken, he does it when he is basking to catch more heat.. you should be more worried about it when he isnt basking

no he doesnt open his mouth or has any saliva. just sometimes when i check up on him he is puffed up. i hope its just to catch more heat. he's pretty healthy otherwise tho. eats like a beast. i dont know about drinking though...neveer actually see him drink but he looks well hydrated. is it ok to shower him everytime i spray the cage?

and no its not constant. maybe only saw him do it a few times. and i check on him ALOT. he's pretty mild towards me. never shows any colors when i handle him and when i put my hand under him, he doesnt really move and just looks at me.
