Problem

So, home depot was out of Umbrella plants, Pothos, and all the other chameleon safe plants, ended up getting a hibiscus, then read that they will die indoors, any ideas how to make it last? Ill probably just end up keeping it in there until they have pothos in stock.

I had a hibiscus and put it OUTSIDE and watered it........It was dead in a week. Extremely hard to keep alive, but a plant light should help a bit. 6.5k day light bulb I what you want

Light your reptiles has a good plant light call the 40 watt jungle dawn. I have not used it myself but have heard very good things about it on the forum and never heard anything bad about it.

If you have a walmart nearby they have the golden pothos that is safe for your cham. Might be worth a shot

I got my lights from light your reptile (a sponsor to this site - amazing guy owning the company! Realy knows his stuff!) And my hibiscus is doing amazing! They flowers every couple of weeks and are looking happy! It has been about 6 months or so and all the live plants in my cages are very happy!

Just found out Fredmeyer has a Pothos and some Schefflera, ill go later and get some of those.

Wait don't you live in Maui? And you couldn't keep it alive? Couldn't you of just put him in a screen cage on your deck all year? And how did you get him? You buy him at a local store or find him on a hike? I heard they live all over the islands?

My Hibiscus plants are inside the vivs and are under jungle dawns- they are looking very healthy- admittedly they lost their flowers they had when I first got them but the ones in shops have been treated to make them bloom to order I think so I have no doubt when the plant is ready it will bloom naturally.

I keep hibiscus in my yard and they really bloom best when pruned 2x a year and fertilized a few x. They also need their soil damp for best results
