Can anyone out there tell me the colors female veiled chameleons show when they are pregnant.I have a thread on the lizard lounge " New guy" that explains the situation. I think she is making eggs but I am not sure,since the attempt at mating on 8-06 -06 she has been green with bright yellow spots and drinking lots of water.Yesterday I had her outside on a small tree and the male was on another small tree about 5 feet away. When he noticed her he climbed down the tree across the ground and up her tree. I watched closely and he tried to push his way on her, she tried biting him and pushing him away with her head.He started trying to headbutt her so I seperated them.

When the female is pregnant/non-receptive and a male is around she will likely look like this...

Hissing and biting are signs of rejection meaning that she is not receptive or that she is gravid. They should be kept away from each other if she reacts like this.

Have you noticed robin egg blue spots on her at all?
