Pregnant chameleon

is it normal for a gravid chameleon to go in the laying bin and taste the dirt or does that mean something else ?

Chams often taste things when trying to identify them or to detect the presence of another cham.

Biologist nerd here....no cham can ever be pregnant. They can however be gravid. Off soapbox

No it's a Senegal chameleon does she still look gravid ?

I figured that out after I posted. I've never seen a Senegal do it but that doesn't mean one wouldn't. It's usually said they're looking for nutrients...but I don't think anyone has ever proved it.

Those were of her like two days ago and then the one in the previous post is of her today. She finally pooped after a week of not doing it at all.
