Hi everyone,
I just set up my veiled's new cage. It is really something. 24x24x48. I was able to tie up some vines near the top and put some fake leaves near the top, which he had in his old cage. I also introduced a Ficus to the cage. I then sprayed the whole cage down, so it's nice and moist, hooked up the mister and released him into his new home. He seems to be exploring, probably trying to find himself some favorite spots. I checked on him about 20 mins later, and he was in his basking spot, just soaking up the rays, and picking cricket off the screen. Then he started to climb to the lower branches, where the Ficus is. This is where my concern grew. He started chomping down on the Ficus Leaves. I have never seen him try to eat the plastic and silk leaves before, but within 20 mins of seeing these, he started eating them. He picked off a small one, and ate the whole thing. I just wanted to make sure that this was ok. I know it says that the plant can irritate their eyes, but I just wanted to make sure that is really the worst that could happen. Thanks everyone
